Internships
University of Richmond is committed to providing students meaningful opportunities to engage in sustainability. The Sustainability Internship Program employs 5-7 interns each year as sustainability change agents. Interns research issues, build innovative new programming, work in partnership with other offices, and support the critical work of the Office for Sustainability. These positions require a 10 hour a week time commitment.
The Sustainability Internship Program provides students unparalleled opportunities to conduct real-world research and develop new programs that bring the University closer to achieving its ambitious sustainability goals. Through this program, interns gain important professional skills, expand their knowledge of sustainability, and have the opportunity to engage with students, faculty and staff working in sustainability all around campus.
The Office for Sustainability employs interns in the following areas:
- Greenhouse Gas Emissions Accounting & Climate Reporting
- Student Programming & Events
- Eco-Corridor and Community Garden
- Communications & Outreach
