Faculty Fellow in Sustainability
The Faculty Fellow in Sustainability supports efforts towards the integration of sustainability across the curriculum. This position provides leadership in a variety of areas, helping UR achieve goals outlined in the Sustainability Plan and the Sustainability Report & Path to 2027. The position is managed by the Office for Sustainability. The inaugural Faculty Fellow in Sustainability will serve for the upcoming academic year of 2026-2027.
Areas of Focus
- Sustainability and Climate Literacy: Clarify the foundational concepts that should be integrated across the curriculum to strengthen students’ understanding of sustainability and climate literacy.
- River City Project/Faculty Development: Provide pedagogical and facilitation support to the Office for Sustainability for the River City Project. Help integrate climate justice pedagogy into faculty development.
- Climate Justice Forum: Co-facilitate a faculty workshop on sustainability and climate justice in education.
- Advisory Support: Provide faculty insights into sustainability education initiatives, including campus as a living lab, competency assessment, course module development, and subject matter expertise.
