Transportation & Mobility
Transportation is the backbone of how we use systems to support our community and the environment. A well-designed transportation plan will not only allow a more diverse community to experience Richmond with greater ease and at greater distances, but, when implemented thoughtfully and connectedly, the plan can decrease emissions and reliance on personal vehicles, which is critical to decreasing our carbon footprint.
Goal 3 of the Sustainability Plan supports the implementation of sustainable practices in campus operations and services that steward the natural world and support human well-being. By pushing forth with the actions below, we are not only advocating for technology that will take us closer to being aligned with renewable energy sources, but we are also saying that there are many solutions for creating a more sustainable campus.
