Rethink Waste

At times, waste management feels like a decision that is made after the product has been used. Instead, under the leadership of Rethink Waste, the university is thinking several steps ahead of the discarded waste. Through collaboration with multiple campus partners, Rethink Waste is engaging with campus waste behavior at all levels: procurement, systems thinking, creative use and reuse, and proper waste management. 

Goal 3 of the Sustainability Plan supports the implementation of sustainable practices in campus operations and services that steward the natural world and support human well-being. By continuously innovating and creating spaces for waste management to be a part of all important decision-making, Rethink Waste is leading the charge in decreasing our waste footprint with key and ongoing initiatives.
