Ecochallenge & International Education Week
The annual Ecochallenge event, run in coordination with International Education Week, is a weeklong program that encourages individuals and groups to take daily sustainability actions to make our campus greener.
Each day of Ecochallenge has a theme and related actions. Themes can include Community & Justice, Food & Water, Conservation & Biodiversity, etc. Here are some of the example actions that individuals can complete:
- Community & Justice: I will purchase from a local farmers' market
- Food & Water: I will limit my showers to five minutes
- Conservation & Biodiversity: I will help plant native species in the Eco-Corridor
At the end of the week, the points are tallied and the winners are decided. Those winners will then earn a prize related to the country being highlighted for International Education Week!
