Sustainability Internship Program 

University of Richmond is committed to providing students meaningful opportunities to engage in sustainability. The Sustainability Internship Program employs 4-6 interns each year as sustainability change agents. Interns research issues, build innovative new programming, work in partnership with other offices, and support the critical work of the Office for Sustainability.

The Sustainability Internship Program provides students unparalleled opportunities to conduct real-world research and develop new programs that bring the University closer to achieving its ambitious sustainability goals. Through this program, interns gain important professional skills, expand their knowledge of sustainability, and have the opportunity to engage with students, faculty and staff working in sustainability all around campus.

The Office for Sustainability employs interns in the following areas:
-Climate & Energy
-Recycling
-Dining
-Sustainability Outreach & Programming

All 2017-2018 intern positions have been filled. Applications for the 2018-2019 internship program will open in Spring 2018.
