Staff Sustainability Discussion Group
In response to a desire among staff to learn more and participate in sustainability on campus, the Office for Sustainability formed the Staff Sustainability Discussion Group in August 2016. The group meets once a month for an hour to learn about sustainability, hear from guest speakers, discuss readings, and volunteer on campus.
During fall 2016 and spring 2017, the group focused on readings from a discussion guide created by the Northwest Earth Institute, took a tour of the Weinstein Solar Array, and volunteered at a campus waste audit. Upcoming discussion topics include water, food, and energy.
