Monday, Oct. 26:
Do it in the Dark Energy Competition
Begins at 12:01 a.m.
Compete by residence hall to see who can most reduce energy consumption. Check out the results.
Waste Audit on the Forum
12-2 p.m.
Come dig through trash from Gray Court and the UFA 1400 block dumpster to see what UR students should have recycled. Learn more about what should and shouldn't be thrown away.
Tuesday, Oct. 27:
Baraka (movie)
8 p.m., Gottwald Auditorium
Join Earth Lodge and GreenUR for a showing of this 1992 classic shot in twenty-four countries. Baraka's subject matter has some similarities—including footage of various landscapes, churches, ruins, religious ceremonies, and cities thrumming with life, filmed using time-lapse photography in order to capture the great pulse of humanity as it flocks and swarms in daily activity.

Composting Demonstration on the Forum

Stop by the Forum for a workshop with Backyard Farmer on the new composting system that is being set up on campus. Check out a worm bin and a model compost bin, then learn how to get involved with the composting project right here on campus.
Fresh (movie)
8 p.m., Whitehurst Living Room
Listen to Molly Harris, leader of Richmond's Buy Fresh, Buy Local chapter and owner of organic restaurant Edible Garden, talk about her work in the sustainable agriculture movement. Join us for organic pizza from Pizza Fusion and a showing of the movie Fresh about the alternative food movement.
